SHOE FETISH: Sergio Rossi creative director Francesco Russo has tapped “I Am Love” director Luca Guadagnino to create a short film that will be screened during the brand’s fall presentation in Milan today. “It’s the history of this woman, her relationship with objects and her psychological metamorphosis,” Russo said of the mini movie. “When a woman wears high heels she is different. There is a carnal relation between shoes and women.”
Russo noted that he chose Diana Dondoe to star because “she has a sculptural body, she has a strong personality and character, with a piercing glance” that could help set the erotic tone of the film. The designer brings attention to the accessories, such as necklaces, gloves or leather vests and which Dondoe, at first shown bare-breasted, wears in the film. The pieces have now become part of the collection, Russo said.

Guadagnino said the video “shows nocturnal and tribal eroticism. We tried to imagine who she is, where she comes from, where she’s going, rather than telling a story.” The director said he was inspired by the Barbet Schroeder 1975 “Maitresse” movie with Gérard Dépardieu.
