GOING WEST: Too busy with launching new shops, denim brand Seven For All Mankind didn’t have the chance to celebrate the July opening of its second Berlin location on Kurfürstendamm in the city’s old West until last week, three months after the first customers set foot in the store.
“We’re expanding a lot in Europe at the moment, we basically didn’t have time earlier,” explained Marco Stein, Seven For All Mankind’s country manager for Germany.
The brand is planning to open 20 further European stores by the end of 2012 including doors in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Cologne. With 1,076 square feet spread over two floors, Seven’s second Berlin store is small. Among the party crowd, were several German celebrities including actor Tobias Schenke, sporting a pair of light-washed straight cut Seven jeans.
“I’m a very spontaneous shopper,” Schenke said. “With jeans, cut and color need to fit, then I’ll take it.”
