Missoni, Havaianas Celebrate Second Collaboration

SIMPSON FLIPS FOR MISSONI: Missoni and Havaianas celebrated their second collaboration with help from Ashlee Simpson at Kitson’s Robertson Boulevard boutique in Los Angeles on Thursday. “Anytime I get a Missoni piece I’m excited, so to have something that is eco-friendly and affordable is a great matchup,” said the singer-songwriter and actress, whose next project is the film “Pawn Shop Chronicles.”

The signature Missoni zigzag pattern on each sandal is crafted from rubber leftover from the manufacturing process and each pair is packaged in recyclable material within a Missoni knit bag.

With last year’s collection selling out within 24 hours on the Havaianas Web site, the company said it expects this year’s collection of four styles, retailing from $70 to $130, to be just as popular. The collection is also available at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and Missoni stores.
