TOUR-WEAR: R&B diva Solange Knowles will wear a custom-made wardrobe by Giorgio Armani on her European tour, which kicked off in Berlin Saturday. Knowles, Beyoncé’s younger sister and new face of Armani Jeans, is the supporting act on Alicia Keys “As I Am” seven-city tour through October, and headlining her own tour in Paris and across the U.K. through mid-November, to promote her sophomore album “SoL-AngeL and the Hadley Street Dreams.”

PARTIES AND PLAYS: Montblanc has a lot on its plate. On Tuesday, the firm is hosting a party at its Madison Avenue store to launch the Nelson Mandela 46664 Bangle. Johnny Depp, Don Cheadle and Naomi Campbell are expected to be among those feting the collaboration, whose proceeds go to fighting HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Once known as prisoner 46664, Mandela co-designed the bangle, which has been seen on Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith since they helped celebrate his 90th birthday in August. The accessories company is also sponsoring the “24 Hour Plays on Broadway” on Nov. 17 at New York’s American Airlines Theater. This year’s cast members include Rosie Perez, Hugh Dancy, Cynthia Nixon and Liev Schreiber, all of whom will perform plays written the night before that they see for the first time at 8 that morning. Proceeds go to the Urban Arts Partnership.
HURLEY SENT TO THE TOWER: The Union Jack was flying, the Beefeaters were out in force and the Tower of London was bathed in pink light for the evening. That can only mean one thing: Estée Lauder Cos. 2008 Global Lighting Initiative landed in London. This fall, Elizabeth Hurley is on a mission to illuminate 200 of the world’s most famous buildings in pink light in recognition of the Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. The model, together with Per Neuman, managing director of Estée Lauder Cos. in the U.K. and Ireland, flicked the switch illuminating the royal fortress, which now houses the Crown Jewels. “I’m very fond of the few diamonds I own,” said Hurley. “But I’ve got my eye on that big one inside.”
