St. John has just opened a new store in Shanghai, the first sales point it has bowed since the American brand took back control of its business in the country.
The new 1,464-square-foot store in the Westgate shopping mall opened last week. This is St. John’s seventh store in China and the company plans to open another 18 stores in the country over the next five years.
The Shanghai store’s interiors feature Venetian plaster, marble, polished stainless steel and crystal chandeliers, in line with the brand’s most recent design concept. The brand is staging a retrospective exhibit of its history at the mall to coincide with the opening. It runs through Dec. 6.
