STOKOMANI HAS NEW OWNER: Advent International has sold French discounter Stokomani to private equity firm Sagard and Stokomani’s management team. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in June. The retailer, which operates 37 units, offers end-of-line products in the apparel and beauty and health care sectors. Stokomani has doubled its size in five years, and has annual sales of 200 million euros, or $260.3 million at current exchange.
Frédéric Stolar, partner at Sagard, said, Stokomani’s business model is particularly relevant given the economic backdrop as consumers seek “quality goods at attractive prices.”
