DEBUTS AND ADIEUS: Men’s fashion week in Paris is reshuffling its roster.
After Damir Doma moved his label to Milan and Kris Van Assche shelved his namesake brand, Strateas.Carlucci is slated to make its debut on the Paris fashion calendar, scheduled to run from June 24 through June 28.
The Melbourne-based brand, founded by Mario-Luca Carlucci and Peter Strateas in 2012, is to take the 12:30 p.m. slot on June 24.
Among other newcomers are Hood By Air, which will present its men’s line for the first time on the Paris calendar, and Balmain, ready to stage its first runway show following growing interest in the couture house’s men’s collections designed by Olivier Rousteing.
Miharayasuhiro, meanwhile, is opting for a presentation in lieu of a catwalk show, and Haider Ackermann will stage his “Men’s Wardrobe” in the format of a seated “private show” to a small circle of guests, following last season’s guessing game in the dark.
