Styled by Noir Mixes E-Commerce and Style Blogging

Stephanie Jenkins and Sivan Ayla Vardi present two new full looks daily, which they photograph on themselves, that are available to their audience.

LIMITED TIME OFFER: There are plenty of fashion and street style blogs showing how to put together outfits, but Stephanie Jenkins and Sivan Ayla Vardi haven’t encountered one where the exact items that make up those outfits are for sale. So, they decided to start Styled by Noir, an e-commerce and online content destination where Jenkins and Vardi present two new full looks daily, which they photograph on themselves, that are available to their audience. The merchandise from each look is offered for seven days. “We are doing everything from hats to clothing to accessories to belts. Everything except for shoes,” explained Vardi. “Right now, we are working with a good mix of some of our favorite contemporary brands.”

There are about 25 brands that Styled by Noir will sell at the outset, including Rachel Pally, LNA, Blank NYC, Dolce Vita, RAEN Optics, Luv Aj andArticles of Society. Vardi, who already blogs at Wallpaper + Scissors and was formerly a brand and sales manager at vintage-inspired line Ani Lee, and Jenkins, who was previously in public relations at the firm Bollare and jewelry company Gorjana & Griffin, met several years ago when they were both employed by Southern California retailer M. Fredric. Vardi and Jenkins believe their varying professional strengths – Vardi has the wholesale and blogging side down, and Jenkins handles the ins-and-outs of starting and building a business – and distinct style preferences are critical to Styled by Noir becoming successful. “I’m kind of eclectic and my style changes daily. I like to mix and match prints. I like funky designers. Stephanie’s wardrobe has a neutral color palette. She’s very classy,” said Vardi. “We want to show the same item on both of us, so you can see different ways of wearing the same item.”
