SWAROVSKI GOES FINE: Atelier Swarovski is entering the world of fine jewelry with some help from an old friend — Matthew Campbell Laurenza.
The designer first collaborated with the brand in 2012 with his Jeweled Garden sculptures, a collection of anatomically correct flower and insect-shaped sculptures crafted with Swarovski gemstones. The fine jewelry collection, also titled Jeweled Garden, extends the sculptures into what Campbell Laurenza describes as “wearable art. The theme is a parallel universe to our reality where insects and flora rule the world and humans are just spectators,” said Campbell Laurenza. “I played with many direct organic forms and shapes to design pieces, which are meant to appear as if they were picked from a magical garden to adorn the wearer.”

The collection, comprised of eight rings, four bracelets and three necklaces, features semiprecious and precious Swarovski gemstones, including multicolor sapphires, amethyst, rodolite garnets, spinel and topaz, all set in 18-karat gold. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. The collection will be carried exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman beginning today, with prices ranging from $8,750 to $118,000.
