RAZZLE DAZZLE: Swarovski is determined to mark its 120th anniversary in a big way. In New York tonight, the brand will start a years’ worth of celebrations with a one-night-only retrospective exhibit, showcasing its most famous creations. The event will also play home to the firm’s semiannual trend and product presentation, this one dedicated to the spring 2016 season.
Swarovski’s grand display of 13 “milestones” will include jewelry worn by Marilyn Monroe in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” a crystal-embellished bra donned by Madonna during her 1993 “Girlie Show World Tour,” and an ensemble from the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Guests will also get to take in works from Swarovski’s ongoing partnership with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. SAIC students were provided Swarovski materials and instructed to create designs that incorporate the brand’s pillar trends for spring: classic, romantic, glamour and progressive. Eight standouts, from jewelry to millinery pieces, were selected for exhibit in New York.
