TALKING TILBURY: Charlotte Tilbury, the celebrity makeup artist whose vast roster of clients ranges from Tom Ford to Donna Karan to Etro, will step into the spotlight next month for a one-off, week-long beauty event at Selfridges. Charlotte Tilbury’s House of Rock’n’Kohl will run from June 17 to 23, and feature makeovers, beauty advice and panel discussions with a variety of figures including Nicola Formichetti and the artist Chris Levine. Tilbury fans Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne will also make appearances.
The aim of the event — a first for both Tilbury and Selfridges — is to look at beauty in a broader cultural and social context. During the week-long event, a light installation portrait by Levine of Moss will be unveiled in one of the store’s windows. Levine — who famously created a series of hologram images of Queen Elizabeth II — created the portrait in collaboration with Tilbury and the hair stylist Malcolm Edwards.

There will also be a Kissing Gallery, selling lip prints from the mouths of celebrities including Tom Ford, Sienna Miller and Moss in support of the charity Kid’s Company. Also on offer will be an Eye Flick Bar, manicures with Lorraine Griffin, and makeup bag clear-out sessions.
