The high-street fashion brand will open this winter in Tokyo's Aoyama shopping district.

TALKING TOKYO: COS, the Swedish high-street fashion brand known for its simple and sophisticated shapes and fashion for men, women and children, is planting a flag in Japan. The first store will open this winter in Tokyo.

The store, located on Minami, in Tokyo’s high-end shopping district Aoyama, will sit alongside international and Japanese fashion boutiques.

“Tokyo is a vibrant and exciting city, and we feel that the district of Aoyama is an ideal setting for the first COS store,” said Marie Honda, overall brand responsible at COS.

“Japanese fashion and culture has been, and continues to be, a huge inspiration to all of us at COS. Launching the COS brand in Japan is an integral part of our expansion plan for East Asia.”

COS first launched in London in 2007, and the brand has gone on to open stores across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
