TAX CASE GOES ON: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s legal troubles are not over yet, as a judge for preliminary hearings decided on Friday the designers are to stand trial. According to a legal source, since the designers are now charged with “omitted and unfaithful earnings declaration,” and no longer with a “tax fraud against the State,” by law they are not to go through a preliminary hearing but are to stand trial in court.
Dolce and Gabbana’s lawyers are appealing, but, it is understood that, by the beginning of next year, all charges could be dropped anyway because the statute of limitations will have run out. The designers declined to comment.
