TEEN TAKEOVER: “Don’t forget to live your style,” said brand ambassador-designer Selena Gomez at the Adidas NEO fashion show at The Waterfront in Chelsea Wednesday night.

Gomez, who revealed the launch of her collection to her 12 million Instagram followers last month, helped spearhead the teen-curated runway show via Twitter.

Adidas NEO label followers were given the power to decide on everything from lighting and music to set design. The show’s set was styled as a city school complete with concrete stairs, bicycles and bike racks with colorful padlocks on the gates.

Influences of street and lifestyle apparel were evident as young men wore acid wash denim and letterman jackets and young women wore stretchy leggings and oversized sweaters. “This is a show by teens for teens — they can create the show that they want. It’s important to give the opportunity for thousands of fans to be involved on different levels through the power of social media,” Gomez said.
