TEL AVIV ITALIANO: He may not be the most popular guy with the New York fashion authorities, but he’s making friends with the Israelis. On Monday, Mario Boselli, president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and Lev Ofir, president of Tel Aviv Fashion Week, signed an agreement of cooperation between the two countries’ fashion sectors.
According to Camera Nazionale della Moda, its board will consider the possibility of including Israeli designers in future editions of NUDe, a talent-search project that takes place during Milan Fashion Week. Also, a number of Italian designers, still to be determined, would show their collections in Tel Aviv during a collective runway show. Boselli is currently in Tel Aviv to attend the first edition of the city’s fashion week, running Nov. 21 to 24, which lists Roberto Cavalli as guest of honor.
