Ten Men’s Designers to Get Newgen Funding

Diego Vanassibara, Kit Neale and label Common are among those receiving sponsorship.

LONDON The British Fashion Council has named the 10 men’s wear designers and brands that will receive Newgen Men funding for the fall/winter 2014 season.

Three new names will join the roster: Diego Vanassibara, Kit Neale and the label Common. Other and previous recipients of the Topman-sponsored funding are Agi & Sam, Astrid Andersen, Lee Roach, Martine Rose, Matthew Miller, Nasir Mazhar and Shaun Samson.

This is the highest number of designers to receive the support since the Newgen Men initiative was launched in 2009.

The recipients receive sponsorship and showcasing opportunities during London Collections: Men, as well as business and mentoring support. DLA Piper is to provide legal and commercial advice to the designers.
