THE CLOSER: For the finale at last week’s Yucatán Moda Nextel, the event’s “featured top model” Erin Heatherton made a last minute wardrobe change. One of 70 models flown in from the U.S., Argentina, Brazil and Mexico City for the event at Hacienda Chichi Suarez, Heatherton decided against wearing a lavish fur, as was the plan, opting for Bogner‘s Malu-D bomber jacket and its golden Elaine pants. Apparently, Heatherton is not a fan of fur.
The all-white dress code for the crowd of 1,000 was pitch perfect during the Snow magazine-sponsored skiwear segment of the show, when artificial snow fell from the sky. In addition to Bogner, wintery gear from Kjus, Authier and were on the catwalk. The March 18 event also featured loads of runway looks from Nicole Miller, as well as some from five Mexican designers. Once the show was done and dusted, guests dined al fresco, caught an open-air concert and partied until sunrise.
