LONDON — The Duchess of Cambridge has been discharged from hospital after a three-night stay to be treated for hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of acute morning sickness that has affected her in the early stages of pregnancy.
Kate emerged carrying a bunch of yellow roses from King Edward VII hospital with Prince William. Wearing a checked wool coat, lavender scarf and flat leather boots, she smiled briefly for the waiting media before being driven with her husband to Kensington Palace, where they will spend some time for her recuperation.
In a brief statement, St. James’ Palace said: “The Duchess of Cambridge has been discharged from the King Edward VII Hospital and will now head to Kensington Palace for a period of rest. Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank the staff at the hospital for the care and treatment the Duchess has received.”
