THE LONG RUN: The London Design Museum confirmed on Tuesday that “Hello, My Name Is Paul Smith,” an exhibition that showcases the designer’s creative path and inspirations, is set for an extended run. Following a report in WWD earlier this month, the museum said that “due to significant public demand” the show is to be extended to June 22. The show, which opened in November, was set to close on March 9.
The museum also said it has seen “record” sales of exhibition merchandise, with the most popular purchase being the exhibition catalogue (Rizzoli), closely followed by Paul Smith’s “Every day is a new beginning” button badge.

On Monday, Smith will be giving a talk as part of the DM25 program, which marks 25 years of the Design Museum. Other speakers lined up for the year-long celebration include Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Jonathan Ive.
