THE OTHER SHOE: Catherine Roggero has been named the New York-based general manager for Christian Louboutin Beauté, a venture between Christian Louboutin SAS and Batallure Beauty. Roggero, who will be responsible for developing Louboutin’s beauty business, has 18 years of global experience with L’Oréal. Recently she was general manager of L’Oréal’s Lancôme and Kiehl’s brands for the Asia-Pacific region. Her previous credits include senior vice president of sales for Lancôme USA, general manager of Biotherm USA and vice president of international development for Kiehl’s. Alexis Mourot, Christian Louboutin’s group chief operating officer and general manager, said, “This new venture is a very important step for us and it took us a while to find someone as unique as Catherine who could understand both our brand DNA and our vision of beauty.”
Robin Burns-McNeill, chairman of Battalure, added the Roggero’s “extensive U.S. and international experience in building luxury beauty brands make her the perfect choice to lead this joint venture and develop it into a global success.”

The venture said it will unveil its first products this summer.
