THE WRITE STUFF: Decades after Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Bruce Chatwin and others used Moleskine notebooks to keep track of their ideas, the company has introduced a collection of accessories. With retail prices in the $40 to $275 range, the selection includes five wallets, a tote, backpacks, messenger bag and reporter bag. Each has a variety of compartments, loops, concealable straps and pockets to help time-pressed users find their belongings. Every style of the carryalls also has a collapsible shopping bag for users to carry any keepsakes they pick up during the day.
Available through the company’s online store and its freestanding units in New York’s Time Warner Center, its SoHo location and a New Jersey location in the Short Hills Mall, the accessories have Moleskine notebook features such as an elastic band and minimalist design.
