THICKE CROWD: Robin Thicke took a detour from his concert tour to appear at Express in Times Square to celebrate the flagship’s grand opening Tuesday night and do a quick set. Thicke took interviews in the glass-enclosed dress area, then navigated through the crowd of 5,000 to descend the escalator and sing “Give It 2 U,” “Magic” and “Blurred Lines.” Many in the multilevel store were out of view of the Canadian crooner but took photos anyway of Thicke live-streamed on the store’s LED screens.

Thicke, wearing the Express photographer suit and Henley graphic T-shirt, said he’s finishing his tour in America and starting work on an album next week. “I’ve already written a few songs that I’m very excited about.” As far as his fashion influencers: “I like the classics — James Dean, Frank Sinatra, George Clooney, you know, a man’s man. I like Johnny Depp, too.”
