TOP 10 FASHION QUERIES: Do you know how to wear a scarf? If not, you’re not alone. According to Google’s 14th Annual “Year in Search,” the question, “how to wear a scarf” was the number-one searched fashion question for 2014. This was followed by “what to wear to a wedding,” “what to wear on an interview” “what to wear on a first date,” “what to wear to a concert,” “how to wear a beanie,” “what to wear with leggings,” “how to wear ankle boots,” “how to wear a maxi skirt” and “what color matches brown.”
Google’s results for the top-trending fashion designers in 2014 were surprising. Bethany Mota, a video blogger who has a fashion line for Aéropostale, came in first place, followed by Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Roy, L’Wren Scott, Valentino, Alexander Wang, Sherri Hill (a prom dress designer), Edith Flagg (a 94-year-old fashion designer who promoted polyester and died in August) and Tina Knowles.

According to Google, the 10 top-trending people in the world in 2014 were, in order, Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, Tracy Morgan, Ray Rice, Tony Stewart, Iggy Azalea, Donald Sterling, Adrian Peterson, Renée Zellweger and Jared Leto
Finally, the top-10 trending red-carpet looks for 2014 were Rihanna, Lorde, Lupita Nyong’o, Madonna, Pharrell Williams, Zendaya, Ben Kingsley, Solange Knowles, LeBron James and Kesha, according to Google.
