Date Set for Marvin Traub Memorial

A service will be held Oct. 24 at the New York City Center.

TRAUB MEMORIAL: A memorial service for Marvin Traub, who died July 11, will be held Oct. 24 at the New York City Center, 131 West 55th Street, at 11 a.m. Doors will open at 10:15 a.m.

Traub, who died at age 87 after suffering from bladder cancer, spent 41 years at Bloomingdale’s, rising from a merchandise assistant to chief executive officer, a position he held for 13 years until 1991. He forged a second career as a consultant and deal maker at Marvin Traub Associates, where he worked in emerging markets such as Russia, China and the Middle East.
