“I’m excited to embark on this new project,” said Paparcone, who last October resigned from Aeffe, where she had held the role of global communication director since 2006. Previously, she was director of press office and global external relations for a range of brands, including Roberto Cavalli, Alessandro dell’Acqua and Alberto Biani.
“I wanted Monica Paparcone with me in this new challenge because, for a rapidly expanding company like Twin-Set, I needed proven international professionalism,” said Varisco, who previously held the post of Moschino chief executive officer. “I also believe that in this sector, which is an alternative to luxury, it is quality that makes the difference.”
Private equity firm Carlyle Group controls 90 percent of the company, founded by Simona Barbieri, who is creative director of the brand.
