CHOO BUSINESS: Forget “Kill Bill” — Uma Thurman turned “Scissorhands” for her latest role: cutting the ribbon on the Christmas windows of Paris department store Printemps in partnership with Jimmy Choo.

Dubbed “Christmas Dream at Printemps,” the enchanting tableaux, which took 650 hours spread over almost three weeks to set up and were designed and produced in collaboration with Jimmy Choo, David Yurman and Bonpoint, were inspired by the theme of two sleeping children waking from a dream to find themselves in the heart of the Parisian department store.

Filled with cute “Choochoogirl” puppets in heels, the Jimmy Choo window features a rotating Christmas tree decorated with models of the Boulevard Haussmann store and giant glittery heels.

Dressed in a chic black ensemble with star-embellished heels by the luxury footwear brand, Thurman following the opening ceremony was escorted to the store’s sixth-floor brasserie where guests sipped Champagne under the spectacular coupole glass ceiling.

Printemps chief executive officer Paolo de Cesare said some 3.5 million visitors are expected to visit the store over the holiday period. “We are expecting huge numbers, it’s a period of excitement and magic, and the opening — with Uma — is part of that. It’s a very symbolic moment for Printemps,” he said.
