UPTOWN GIRL: That Monique Lhuillier would attract a gaggle of uptown types to her boutique opening party is hardly a surprise. After all, the store is located in an elegant brownstone on 71st Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues in New York. Hanna Bronfman, Marina Rust Connor, Alexandra Lebenthal, Lauren Dupont and Jamie Tisch (all cited on the invite) were joined by Muffie Potter Aston, Jennifer Creel, Yaz Hernandez, model Anais Pouliot and Kelly Rutherford, while Harley Viera-Newton spun the tunes.

Lhuillier, with husband and the company’s chief executive officer Tom Bugbee in tow, offered guests tours of the two-story space. “This has been a lifelong dream,” she said, in a gold dress from her fall lineup. “I decided on it two days ago, after everyone else had picked theirs. I looked at the line and thought, I will do gold tonight.”
