Ralph Lauren’s “Way Forward” plan is working out well for Valérie Hermann. Today she was named president, Global Brands, an expansion of the role she was promoted to in May when she was named global brand president, luxury, Women’s Collections, and World of Accessories. As part of this move she will be responsible for all global brand development, overseeing Ralph Lauren, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lauren, Chaps and Home to maximize brand strength and drive sustainable profitable sales growth.
Ralph Lauren Corp. chief executive officer Stefan Larsson said, “The execution of the ‘Way Forward’ plan is centered on very strong leadership across our brands, functions and geographies. Valérie is one of our most talented and experienced leaders and she has made a meaningful impact on our luxury and women’s brands since joining the company. I am excited to expand her role as we focus on further strengthening our brands.”
Hermann joined Ralph Lauren in 2014, prior to which she was president and ceo of Reed Krakoff. Before that she was ceo of Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.
