Victoria & Albert Museum to Open Pop-Up Shop

The shop will mark the museum's exhibitions, “The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014” and “Wedding Dresses 1775-2014.”

POP OF GLAMOUR: To mark its exhibitions “The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014” and “Wedding Dresses 1775-2014,” the Victoria & Albert Museum is opening a pop-up shop as part of Regent Street’s Summer Streets Festival in London. On July 20, the fashion pop-up will open at the Quadrant Arcade on Regent Street, and offer a special selection of fashion accessories, jewelry, prints, V&A books, stationery and exclusive products inspired by the museum’s extensive fashion and textiles collections.

Visitors will also be able to take part in free fashion illustration workshops lead by CreateVoice, the V&A’s youth collective and the illustrator Stuart McKenzie. Running every half hour from 12:00 noon, participants will learn key illustration skills and be encouraged to develop their own drawing style.

Among the other Summer Streets activities that will take place on the day are live performances from Tiempo Libre, The Notables and the Fabulous Lounge Swingers, and a fashion catwalk down Regent Street that will offer members of the public the opportunity to show off their own style and experience being part of a professional runway show.
