DYNAMIC DUO: Paris’ Le Bon Marché department store tapped fashion designer turned interiors maven Vincent Darré and high-end Italian furnishings company Poltrona Frau for its latest exhibition and windows.

For the windows on Rue de Sèvres, Darré imagined Surrealist scenarios for the interior scenes brought to life with reinterpreted creations from the Maison Darré and Poltrona Frau furniture. There’s also a short film created by Darré — starring Arielle Dombasle and Catherine Baba – paying homage to Twenties movies. It runs on retro televisions.

On the store’s third floor, the “Salon à Ciel Ouvert” exhibit takes the form of an eccentric Parisian hotel particulier. It includes iconic Poltrona Frau furnishings and pieces from the Maison Darré. Here, too, is the presentation of animal-print wallpaper dreamed up by actress Valérie Lemercier for the Maison Darré.

The show runs until June 21.
