The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive in Los Angeles.

“Welcome to California,” Governor Jerry Brown said to the Duke of Cambridge as he stepped of the Canadian Military Airbus 310 on Thursday afternoon. Close behind was Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in a pale lavender short sleeved dress by Roksanda Illinic and her by now familiar sheer hose and Jimmy Choo “Lovely” heels. The Duke and Duchess touched down at Los Angeles International airport at 3:54 p.m., just after their scheduled 3:30 arrival. The couple was greeted by British Ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald, California Governor Jerry Brown and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. First Lady of California Anne Gust Brown, in a cream and black striped shift dress, handed Kate a red, white and purple bouquet, which she carried with her into the waiting Range Rover. The couple is scheduled to go directly to a Variety technology summit at the Beverly Hilton hotel, followed by a private reception at the British Consulate’s home in Hancock Park, where they will also stay until Sunday.
