WORN THIS WAY: New York-based designer Sally LaPointe may have graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, but Lady Gaga gave her another crowning collegiate moment by wearing one of her designs to Harvard Wednesday. For the launch of her Born This Way Foundation, the singer sported a backless black jersey dress from the 27-year-old designer’s fall-winter collection.

In Boston to kick off her youth empowerment initiative, Gaga had Oprah Winfrey, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and — fortunately for LaPointe — loads of photographers in tow. Gaga also wore a neoprene Prabal Gurung hip-flared coat.
