NEW RECRUITS: Yves Saint Laurent, which recently returned to profitable growth, is beefing up its management ranks. Word has it the French fashion house has tapped Cedric Charbit to become its director of product strategy. Charbit, currently deputy general manager at Emilio Pucci, is expected to join YSL next month. Charbit has also been general merchandise manager for women’s wear at Harrods in London and Printemps in Paris. YSL also recently tapped Nathalie Marrec from PPR sister company Balenciaga to fill another new post: director of women’s ready-to-wear. Marrec was deputy general manager at Balenciaga.
