ZAC ATTACK: Zac Posen made a 36-hour “run through blip” to San Francisco over the weekend to present his fall runway collection at the 32nd San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show Luncheon at the Fairmont Hotel Friday. “San Francisco is such a romantic and nostalgic city and I love that there is a thriving old-world culture and society there. They still value dressing,” he said.
The 500-person lunch, which benefits the nation’s oldest professional ballet troupe, was followed by a trunk show at Saks Fifth Avenue, which has partnered with SFBA on the event for 16 years running. “It was more women dressed in my clothes than I’ve ever seen in one room,” said Posen, who spent the afternoon “in and out of dressing rooms helping women get ready for gala season.” The designer said he plans to return to the West Coast in the fall.
