ZIG-A-ZIG-AH: Sergio Rossi celebrated the Memphis art movement with the “Sergio Rossi Meets Memphis” special event, held Wednesday night at Milan’s 10 Corso Como. The footwear label unveiled an installation juxtaposing shoes from the Sergio Rossi spring collection, which was inspired by the revolutionary Italian design movement founded in the Eighties, and some iconic pieces coming from the Memphis art gallery in Milan.
“The techniques used by Memphis, including the combination of graphics, bold colors and unusual materials creating innovative graphic patterns, gave me the chance to exalt the high-end artisanal aspect of Sergio Rossi shoes, making them real design objects,” said the brand’s creative director, Francesco Russo.

Some shoe styles will be sold exclusively at 10 Corso Como until Dec. 24.
The party also celebrated the partnership between Sergio Rossi and Attila & Co. The Milan-based communication agency founded by p.r. veteran Andreina Longhi has just started coordinating the brand’s communication activities across Italy, Germany, Russia, France, U.K., China and the U.S.
