Resort season shows no sign of letting up as another wave of designers present their latest collections, all of which include a common element of the season: jewel tones. Donatella Versace tips her hat to futurist painter Giacomo Balla in looks that focus on saturated colors — draped and tucked cocktail dresses for night, and puff-sleeve jackets and bubble minis for day. Yigal Azrouël also plays with twists and folds, as in an emerald cocktail dress, while still offering his downtown cool girl plenty of slouchy trousers and milk-washed T-shirts. Zac Posen, meanwhile, serves up country-club chic with pleated skirts and suede-trimmed jackets, all with a good-girl-gone-bad edge. And on the other end of the spectrum, the ever-bohemian Anna Sui delivers her signature florals and turns it up a notch for night with black lace party frocks and a sequined coat.
