J. Heather Inc., the Licensing and Marketing Firm for Jill Scott, the two-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist, has entered into a joint venture with Ashley Stewart to launch a bra line called The Butterfly Collection by Jill Scott.
The initial product launch, which will be available May 15 at 220 Ashley Stewart doors and at ashleystewart.com, will feature intimate apparel for plus-size figures. The launch will be supported by an informercial at the stores and on the Web site.
The Butterfly Bra will be available in three styles: molded cup, underwire and strapless. Sizes will range from 38D to 44DDD. Colors will be white, black, beige and nude. Coordinating panties will include a brief and a boyshort in sizes L to XXL. Bras will retail from $34.99 to $40.99, and bottoms will be $8.
"We have received over 5,000 e-mails from customers with the opportunity to preorder the Butterfly Bra before the launch on May 15," said Mark Gunn, chief strategic officer of parent company Urban Brands Inc.
The Butterfly Bra was designed by Jill Scott and Melfi Jimenez, director of product development. It was inspired by Scott's lifestyle needs after she was unable to find a bra that was both comfortable and fashionable.
“My personal philosophy to beauty is paying attention to oneself. I love to be outdoors, lots of fresh air, trying to take care of yourself as best you can. I always notice that comes through,” says Felicity Jones, the global face of @shiseido-owned @cledepeaubeauteus, which launches today.
