NEW YORK — This fall, legwear is moving beyond the fishnet.
During last week’s collections, designers shied away from showing skirts with bare legs, sending out models wearing leggings, thick socks and tights in all patterns and colors.
There wasn’t one overriding trend guaranteed to drive sales, but rather an array of fresh looks that will likely give business a needed boost. Anna Sui went mod, Betsey Johnson opted for tartan, and Zac Posen broke out the glitz.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
