PARIS— Lingerie veteran Assya Hiridjee will announce today the purchase of a former Lejaby factory in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, as part of her plans to launch a new French lingerie brand, Monette, in spring 2013.
Hiridjee, a former designer for intimates firm Princesse Tam Tam and the sister of its founder, will also hire around 50 former Lejaby factory workers, who have been largely unemployed since the beleaguered firm shut the factory in 2010.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
