Kuba Dabrowski, one of the key photographers behind some of the European WWD’s They Are Wearing slide shows, traveled to London, Florence, Milan and Paris to document the unique style scene and ambiance outside the men’s wear shows.
Here, he picks his favorite images from the four cities — sometimes for the fashion worn; sometimes for the light and atmosphere. “I’ve tried to keep it all balanced: young versus old; edgy versus classic,” the 34-year old explained.
He picked more images from the French capital than from any other city because, “Paris is the most diverse. You get several tribes: the elegant French; the Japanese crowd and there’s also the Rick Owens’ types. In Milan, it is all about Italian chic.”
Dabrowski is upfront that his photos are snapped just outside runway shows and trade events. “I want to capture the atmosphere, the chaos, and the noise of fashion week,” he said. To be sure, Dabrowski covered a lot of ground.
