Designers have plenty of polished, easy day looks on tap for resort. At Bill Blass, Peter Som aims for “simple and effortless clothes that embody luxury — just like the photographs of Slim Aarons,” the designer says, and he expresses that tomboy-meets-luxe vibe with pockets on an evening gown and sporty mixes of stripes. Rebecca Taylor channels her usual romantic bohemia with an urban flair. Translation: beaded neon tops paired with tweed shorts and girly pink dresses worn under chunky knits.

Chic globe-trotter is the MaxMara mentality, as carried out by the company’s design team, headed by Laura Lusuardi. The lineup features elegant, relaxed looks such as trenchcoats and neutral shifts. And Pringle of Scotland presents a collection anchored by the house’s well-known sweater sets, though designer Clare Waight Keller adds fluid silk dresses and tailored skirts and trousers.
