HONG KONG — Global Sources, a Hong Kong-based trade show organizer and business-to-business sourcing facilitator, has announced another edition of its China Sourcing Fair. The new event will be held in Johannesburg in December 2010 and is expected to mark the first time that a wide variety of China-made products are available in any African country.
“There is an increasing demand for China-made products in developing markets,” said Sarah Benecke, executive director of Global Sources. “In many of these economies, a middle class is emerging and demand for consumer products is growing. As Mainland China produces a dominant share of the world’s consumer goods, there is a strong fit between our China Sourcing Fairs and these growing markets.”
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
