Having just launched a collaboration with Opening Ceremony featuringreissues of early Nineties DKNY hits, Donna Karan returned to thatperiod for fall, but this time through a hip-hop lens. Terrific oversizeparkas and sweatshirts were featured, as well as fun animal prints thatbrought to mind the work of Stephen Sprouse. Karan also added largerounded shoulders to her silhouettes, particularly on structuredminidresses and tops that combined multiple fabrics including Neoprene.But the few evening looks here — long, flowing dresses over skinny pants— felt out of synch with the rest of her strong sportswear lineup.
