Schwab’s fluidly draped jersey dresses skillfully riffed on the designer’s Greek roots: He said the country’s traditional Khiton tunics inspired the silhouettes. But he also infused them with a touch of Halston-era glamour. There were floor-length and thigh-skimming dresses, made from silk jersey or suede, and gathered with shiny gold clasps at the neck and bronzed ropes at the waist. Schwab also fashioned glittering Swarovski crystal-encrusted silver ropes into bodices that snaked over some jersey dresses. One stunning dress was constructed entirely from those silver coils.
