Victoria Beckham and her family have moved back to London, and it’s clearly rubbing off on the designer. Her beautiful fall collection offered a strong play on English heritage fabrics, which she executed with ease and modernity. “I really feel like I have pushed myself,” Beckham said backstage preshow, just after kneeling down to polish shoes, a lint roller sticking out from the back pocket of her skinny jeans. The designer added more textures like pony hair, while providing a striking mix of color combos that gave the lineup a fresh jolt.
She’s recently been playing with tailoring and amped it up further for fall with the fabulous coats that opened the show, one in gray-and-blue plaid with the bottom half in blue pony hair. Some of her shift dresses in those fabrics subtly read Swinging Sixties, but there were numerous sexy looks for her Hollywood friends: lean silhouettes cinched at the waist with slits that showed just the right amount of leg. The designer also toyed with new proportions, particularly on the shoulders, which were often rounded and slightly exaggerated. Equally chic were her structured, draped and belted tuxedo dresses; a stunner was shown in the purest of yellows and worn over a camel turtleneck.
For evening, Beckham offered several takes on the smoking, with a coat and dress featuring trompe l’oeil sleeves which looked as if they were elegantly hanging off the models’ shoulders. These in particular caught the eye of her husband, David, in the front row. His verdict after the show? “Unbelievably sexy.”

“I’m Russian and I love to use all these little tricks that I got from my grandma or my mom. We didn’t have a lot of money for creams or anything like that so we would use a garden as a beauty treatment regime. We’d put cucumber in the fridge and do a cucumber mask,” says model @irinashayk on one of her beauty hacks. WWD asked celebs what their go-to self-care rituals are.
