ATLANTA — Golf apparel company Ahead is joining the green crowd with its introduction of an eco-friendly segment for men and women in its spring 2009 collection.

The eco-friendly line includes apparel with Cocona, the natural technology from coconut shells with moisture and odor management, as well as a UPF of 50-plus. It offers four shirt styles for men: a bamboo charcoal mesh polo, Cocona textured polo, organic jersey polo and a Cocona pin dot polo.

Ahead has also added three polo shirt styles in its Hybridwear (a cotton/polyester blend) offering for men, as well as new lightweight outerwear pieces utilizing Nanotex (nanotechnology) fabrications for wind, water and stain resistance.
