From sexy French lingerie to serious German sportswear and four Canadian designers, FashionCenterDallas will introduce a global cadre of labels at the August show.

“We have lots of new lines and resources and new showrooms for Eleventh Floor Apparel and Sq[are] Foot Gallery,” said Cindy Morris, chief operating officer of the Dallas Market Center Co. “Ritz Group will have Plenty by Tracy Reese and Frock, and SCENE is fully leased with more than 50 booths. On the 12th floor, several temporary exhibitors are expanding their booths, which is great. Everybody [seems] more optimistic about the future.”

Eleventh Floor Apparel, the Toronto-based company that produces Linda Lundstrom, will feature several Canadian lines in its new corporate room, 15693 in the World Trade Center.

“We wanted to create a presence in the Dallas region to promote Canadian-designed and manufactured women’s brands,” said Carly Schwartz, marketing coordinator at Eleventh Floor, which tested the market in the SCENE temporary show in June.

The company’s flagship label, Lundstrom, is an expansive bridge collection of versatile coats, dresses and sportswear. The space will also house three other Toronto lines: suits and cocktail dresses by Jayn Simpson, who has a fascination for romantic vintage looks including corsets; Grace, a glamour-girl label that features belted suit jackets, high-waisted pants and bold cocktail dresses, and eXhale yoga clothing.

Also new to FCD is Ambiente, a 24-year-old German bridge sportswear collection that will bow at Brad Hughes & Associates, and Eve Rachline Lingerie of Paris, an upscale line of lingerie and corsets showing at ANR Sales.

Kello, a Danish sportswear collection with its own stores in Scandinavia and distribution in Europe, Asia and North America, will make its debut at SCENE.

Sq Foot Gallery will debut in room 15610 with a roster of contemporary fashion and shoes for women and men. The showroom, owned by Holly Martin Rodgers, has a number of hip resources including Cocobelle bohemian sandals and handbags from Uruguay; Jee Vice French sunglasses; Goorin Brothers hats; PF Flyers shoes; Blank Jeans and Dean leather accessories. Sq Foot was previously at Fashion Industry Gallery.

Harry Metric, who represents nine updated misses’ lines, moved into a bigger showroom in June and plans to celebrate at the August show with a cocktail party. The back corner room, 15997, once housed Garfield & Marks.

“We have over 2,000 square feet — before we had 900,” Metric explained. “My wife thought I was crazy, but companies are chasing us [for representation] and the showroom is gorgeous.”

Metric’s newest resource is Redwood Court, a sportswear spin-off of Silk Box, which he also represents. Made of bamboo, linen, silk, cotton and cashmere blends, Redwood Court targets “a hipper, contemporary updated customer who happens to be more environmentally conscious,” said Boyd Babbitt, design director.
