MONTAUK, N.Y. — Forget Fourth of July sparklers and quaint parades in the once sleepy fishing village at the tip of Long Island. With a guest list upwards of 3,000, this year’s 11th annual Shark Attack Sounds party, hosted by photographer Ben Watts, Milk Studios founder Mazdack Rassi and hotelier Jeffrey Jah, took over the Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina and benefited the Montauk Playhouse. The fashion was decidedly upbeat, with conversational or hippie prints for the ladies, while the boys leaned toward preppy bow ties and polo shirts to cool effect. “It’s summer’s sexiest party,” said Watts.
