Street style in Taiwan’s capital city was quirky, cool and sporty over the Christmas weekend. It’s not officially recognized as a public holiday — although Dec. 25 happens to coincide with Constitution Day, the anniversary of the signing of Taiwan’s constitution in 1947 — but Christmas is still celebrated by some Taiwanese with festive decorations, shopping and dining out. The country enjoys mild winter weather, which would explain the light outerwear preferred by Taipei’s youthful residents, ranging from cozy knits and nylon bombers to oversize denim jackets.
