What better way to capture everyday style than at a book party celebrating just that? Such was the occasion on Tuesday evening at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, where The Sartorialist street photographer-blogger Scott Schuman was on hand to celebrate his second photo tome, “The Sartorialist: Closer.”
“The fashion that I photograph in the street makes it accessible to people in a way that magazines don’t,” Schuman told WWD.
The event drew an eclectic crowd, from urban hipsters to thrift-store princesses to a few who looked like they’d come directly from a major shopping spree at Ikram. On this night, the Second City was all about being first in fashion.
